NXCORE REWORK IN PROGRESS

Currently working on doing a minor but major NXCore update to the network. Bare with us as we get this worked up and ready for production use. Several advancements will be forthcoming as we migrate from the old version of NXCore to the new one.

The ability to have tg crossing from DMR to NXDN or NXDN to DMR will be one such feature that will allow areas with both modes running to unify into a common talk grouping.

NXCore is growing!

Good evening all, NXCore has taking on a new life and will be rolling out forthcoming.
Thanks to those past and present who started this off, and now the next level of NXDN Ham Radio is making it’s move forward with some new features and skill sets. More information on the new release of the NXCore files will be announced when it is finished with the BETA version (Now nearing V 13.0.0.1)
As I get back into the NXDN buildout, I want to give a special thanks to NI4CE Group, Inc. and to the next developer who came on board, Tom Chance, K9XV of Florida.
We will occasionally hear from him here on the website from time to time.

SIDE Note to all users talk group 1200

Like to make a note real quick, Talk Group 1200 (FLORIDA WIDE) is for Florida and not really a World Wide talkgroup. 65000 was meant for wide area contacts and short comms.
If you need a local area or regional talkgroup, and do not have one established, contact me to arrange having a TG reflector set up for your area. kd4efm1@gmail.com

Gen 2 NXCore will soon be branching to support regional coverage. That will be forthcoming!

KF4I – Palm Coast, Florida to come online

Thom Scott, KF4I, in Palm coast will be replacing 443.3000 with a mixed mode Kenwood NXDN NXR-810 shortly. Today (11/16/13) KD4EFM and KF4I installed
and brought online the Raspberry Pi that will be part of the NXREF system, and
fine-tuned it for temp operation at his home QTH. Once the network is installed and
made operational at the repeater site, the repeater will be moved and replacing the
existing 443.3000. Details on that will come later.

This will allow coverage from Saint Augustine down into Dayton Beach using the World Wide NXDN network. From Orland, KJ4OVA covers up to the northern end of I-4 at I-95.

Welcome aboard Thom!
